194.PRESENT: Councillor J B Jonas, Deputy Town Mayor in the Chair together with Councillors B Pickering the Town Mayor, M F C Donnelly, G C Ferguson, H J C Herron, D Kennedy and T Robson.
195.APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE were given on behalf of Cllrs. N Wicks and Mrs C J Robinson.
196.MINUTES. It was AGREED that the Minutes of the meeting held on 7 August 2006 having been circulated, be signed as a true record.
197.MATTERS ARISING. There were no matters arising.
198.DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST. Cllr D Kennedy declared a personal and prejudicial interest in Agenda item 5 for applications 200611348 and 20061025 and left the room during the discussion and voting thereon. Cllrs. B Pickering, T Robson, M F C Donnelly and H J C Herron declared a personal interest in Agenda item 5 for application 20061025 as members of the applicant authority.
199.PLANNING APPLICATIONS. It was AGREED planning applications in accordance with the lists circulated should be supported apart from:
a. 20061138. Only the totem pole sign proposed was objected to. The remainder of the application was supported.
b. 20061039. Cllr B Pickering abstained in the voting on this application.
200.THERE being no further business the Chairman closed the meeting. The next meeting of the Planning Committee will be held on Monday 2 October 2006.
