201.PRESENT: Councillor J B Jonas, Deputy Town Mayor in the Chair together with Councillors B Pickering the Town Mayor, M F C Donnelly, Mrs C J Robinson, G C Ferguson and H J C Herron.
202.APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE were received from or on behalf of Cllrs. N Wicks, D Kennedy and T Robson.
203.MINUTES. It was AGREED that the Minutes of the meeting held on 4 September 2006 having been circulated, be signed as a true record.
204.MATTERS ARISING. There were no matters arising.
205.DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST. Cllrs B Pickering and Mrs C J Robinson declared a personal interest in Agenda item 5 for applications 20061112 and 20061114.
206.PLANNING APPLICATIONS. It was AGREED planning applications in accordance with the lists circulated should be supported apart from:-
a. 20061178. It was AGREED to object to the proposed pole mounted sign. It was too high, too obtrusive and a distraction to traffic on the highway alongside.
207.THERE being no further business the Chairman closed the meeting. The next meeting of the Planning Committee will be held on Monday 6 November 2006.
