During the Annual Meeting of the Council held online on Monday 11th May 2020, the Town Mayor, Councillor Hull, presented his Annual Town Report to Councillors and members of the public.
Speaking at the meeting, Councillor Hull emphasised the community spirit in Hexham and thanked all volunteers and other organisations involved in Hexham Community Together. He spoke of the various development plans due to bring a flood of new investment into the future prosperity of the town, the hard work of the Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group, which was due to go to referendum earlier this year and the achievements of the Council of the last 12 months.
He further noted that, post Covid-19, there will be lots of questions about moving forwards and that Hexham Town Council has already begun to consider what kind of recovery plan will be needed in the context of a county-wide plan.
