What a day we had last Saturday!
The Time Travellers were terribly mis-behaved and kept us entertained all afternoon with their capers and mis-haps!
So many people pitched in to make this happen and our thanks go to; Hexham Town Hosts, Tynedale Lions Club, John Doherty, Jez Light and Jeanette Dodds for looking after all our people. Hexham Library, Hexham Abbey and The Old Gaol have been amazing, with a special shout out to Howard Hill of the Old Gaol. Moya Holmes of Queen’s Hall Theatre Club who was so generous with costumes and Jennifer Britton who did some sewing for us!
The amount of performers who came along was immense and we are so grateful to; our wonderful Town Criers; Helen Wearmouth and Joe Mills, Kathryn and The Tynedale Community Choir, Colonel James Royd, High Sheriff of Northumberland, Gateway into the Community, A Batida da Rua, Boho Arts, The Newcastle Array, The Orla Doogan School of Irish Dance, The Abbey Bellringers, Stage Fright, The Royal Society of Scottish Country Dance, Players from Hexham Village Band and Kay and the dancers of Studio K. A big thank you to Hexham Guides and brownies who ran a free games stall.
The Hexham Farmers’ Market was very fore bearing with us and we thank them. Aldi gave us provisions for our performers and volunteers, HSHAZ paid for the memories filming and the photographer.
All these photos have been taken by Steven Curtis professional photographer, and we have plenty more to post another day! Hexham TV filmed the memories, Kids Movie Fest filmed the event, Northern Productions was our Sound Tech for the day.
We had a big audience all afternoon and it was great to see Hexham out in force supporting this event for our community.
It was wonderful to see you dancing in the marketplace again!
