REMEMBRANCE DAY 2021

HEXHAM TOWN COUNCIL

Is pleased to announce details for this year’s

ACT OF REMEMBRANCE

The parade starts at 10.30am on Sunday 14th November from Argyle Terrace.

Soldiers from 3 Regiment Royal Horse Artillery, Army Cadets and Air Force Cadets will march to the War Memorial from Argyle Terrace via Fore Street, Market Place and Beaumont Street.

Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Northumberland, Carol Malia DL, will take the salute at the March Past.

A Service of Remembrance and the laying of wreaths will take place at the War Memorial.

The Last Post will sound at 11.00am and 3 Regiment RHA will fire a gun at the start and end of the silence.

A very warm invitation to attend is extended to the people of Hexham and Northumberland and particularly to our Armed Forces past and present who, if in uniform, are welcome to lay a wreath on behalf of their comrades.

WAR GRAVES

On Saturday 13th November at 10.15am each of the war dead buried at St Andrew’s Cemetery, West Road, Hexham will be remembered with a poppy cross ceremony.

All are welcome to attend this informal Act of Remembrance.
